About Wendy

In my acting career, I enjoy both theatrical and commercial success. In recent months I have done 15 commercial spots and 5 independent films which are currently enjoying festival play throughout the world. My big dream of making my own films through my production company, Illumine Entertainment, has come to fruition! My first film, Beyond the Bridge--which I co-wrote, co-produced, and starred in, was selected as the winner of the Best Mystery/Suspense Short in the 2007 Hollywood DV/HD Festival, the film’s first festival! We look forward to more festival play in the coming months. I have appeared in TV shows including ER, The West Wing, Gilmore Girls, and Angel to mention a few. Recent big screen credits include John Malkovich’s Art School Confidential and The Island by Michael Bay.

I am a workshop Creator and Facilitator, as well as a Life/Career coach. Almost 20 years of earnestly studying and honing my skills as an actor and human being are the platform for what I offer in the IGNITE Your Career Goals and Success Workshop, Master Class, and one-on-one coaching. I have discovered that the power of who we show up to be, our beliefs, and our vision is reflected in our careers, relationships, and every facet of our lives.

For four years, I was Artistic Director for City at Peace-Los Angeles; an internationally recognized non-profit organization that empowers teenagers to create safe, healthy, peaceful lives and communities. Using the performing arts as a vehicle, I lead intense year-long creative programs for vastly diverse groups of youth from all over the city.

I have faced the challenge of a life-threatening illness, and can attest to overcoming it through embracing those opportunities to learn and grow. As an avid athlete, and as my personal commitment to wholeness, I have taught martial arts, participated for three years in the 575-mile California AIDS Ride, and placed in the top ten in my first triathlon in 2006.

I have always been committed to seeking the answers to HOW one can be fulfilled and successful. Through this learning, which is woven into the fabric of my workshops and their message, I have discovered tools that have made me more successful, more fulfilled, more of who I am, and more of what I can offer this world.

I continue to delve deeply into my own personal growth, studying with many well-known teachers in the human-potential movement. My continuing exploration of philosophy and psychology with relationship to acting has culminated in IGNITE Your Career, my Goals and Success Workshop, as well as IGNITE II, my Master Class--an advanced, six-week course, for graduates of the Goals and Success Workshop. My passion is to empower others to find the same success and fulfillment that I have found! Through my workshops and coaching, I offer to others the love, wisdom, teaching, and sense of wonder that my mentors and my own experiences have contributed to me.
